- May 3 - A lack of water and forest fire due to serious drought

Never find drinking water in the Upper Shake Campground, where I camped last night. At last, I could get water cache on the trail.	My boots was tired. I must buy new boots in Lone Pine, a town of the Eastern Sierra, 200 miles north form here, tomorrow.

Felt comfortable under the flesh green leaves. I will corss Antelope Valley, the hottest and driest area on the entire PCT
