- May 12 - Entering High Sierra from here

Crossed Hwy 178 at Walker Pass. I felt cool in the morning.

Grass in the Owens Valley dried up

Ascending along rocky trail. Trail will enter Paradise of Water, High Sierra, after a few days hike.

Rattlesnake seemed not to be able to move in the cool air. Therefore, I could take a picture.
