- DAY.062-

- Jun.1 - Heat wave on the snow
Left Le Conte Canyon, where I camped last night, for the Muir Pass. Helen Lake, on the way ascending to Muir Pass. The beauty of light blue impressed me.

Lots snow around the Muir Pass, just except the Muir Hut.

Muir Hut, made of rocks, has a fireplace. In front of Muir Hut. A marmot wandered around the hut.

Wanda Lake, covered with ice and snow. Sunshine reflected on the snow around me and roasted me. It's difficult to hike on the metling snow in the afternoon.

Arriving at Evolution Lake, where is one of the most beautiful area in the High Sierra, I think. Rising moon above pink-colored slope, just before sunset.

Near the campsite at the Evolution Lake. Camped on the scenic hill.

Evolution Lake, illuminated by moonlight.
